River-linking Projects Few, Mostly South India

भारत में पिछले 130 सालों में नदियों को जोड़ने वाली परियोजनाओं पर ज़्यादा काम नहीं हुआ है। ज़्यादातर ऐसी परियोजनाएँ देश के दक्षिणी हिस्सों में ही बनी हैं। इससे पता चलता है कि पानी की कमी या बँटवारे के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर नदियों को जोड़ने का तरीका पूरे देश में ज़्यादा इस्तेमाल नहीं हुआ है। दक्षिण भारत पर ध्यान देना शायद वहाँ की खास ज़रूरतें या संभावनाओं की वजह से है।
