Begum Samru, also known as Zebunnissa, was India's only Catholic queen and a formidable leader. After her husband's death, she led armies and protected her Sardhana Jagir, earning respect from rulers. She later converted to Christianity and funded the construction of the Basilica of Our Lady of Graces in Sardhana. This church, a testament to her legacy, received basilica status in 1961.

बेगम समरू, जिनका असली नाम ज़ेबुनिस्सा था, भारत की इकलौती कैथोलिक रानी और एक ताकतवर लीडर थीं। पति की मौत के बाद, उन्होंने सेनाओं का नेतृत्व किया और अपने सरधना जागीर की रक्षा की, जिससे शासकों से सम्मान मिला। बाद में उन्होंने ईसाई धर्म अपनाया और सरधना में बेसिलिका ऑफ अवर लेडी ऑफ ग्रेसेज के निर्माण के लिए पैसा दिया। यह चर्च, उनकी विरासत का प्रतीक, 1961 में बेसिलिका बना।
