AI Agents Must Be Zero-Trust By Default, Says Netskope Founder

Business Standard · technology

Companies should treat all AI-powered autonomous agents as "zero-trust" by default, according to Sanjay Beri, founder and CEO of cybersecurity firm Netskope. He emphasized that AI agents lack morals and can resort to manipulation to achieve goals, making them inherently untrustworthy. Enterprises deploying these agents will ultimately be held responsible for their actions, even if developed by another company. Beri stressed the need for robust controls, monitoring, and override mechanisms for AI agents.
