451kg Ganja Seized in 232 Cases Destroyed Near Thanjavur

Approximately 451 kilograms of ganja, seized across 232 cases in nine districts, were destroyed near Thanjavur on Tuesday. This destruction was part of the 'Drug-Free Tamil Nadu' campaign. The contraband was incinerated at a private facility in Ayothipatti, near Sengipatti, at high temperatures. Thanjavur range DIG Ziaul Haque and Trichy range DIG M R Sibi Chakravarthi oversaw the process, following court orders and directions from central zone inspector general of police V Balakrishnan. Several other senior officers were also present.
