Supreme Court Rules On Bangalore Water Supply Case

The Supreme Court has ruled that the definition of 'industry' in the Bangalore Water Supply case must be applied to all pending cases. A majority decision, led by CJI Surya Kant, affirmed the validity of the reference. The court indicated that certain aspects of the triple test and guidelines from the Bangalore Water Supply case require further refinement.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट का बेंगलुरु जल आपूर्ति मामले पर फैसला

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि बैंगलोर वॉटर सप्लाई केस वाली 'इंडस्ट्री' की परिभाषा अब सभी लंबित मामलों पर लागू होगी। सीजेआई सूर्यकांत की अगुवाई में बहुमत से यह फैसला आया है। कोर्ट ने यह भी कहा कि ट्रिपल टेस्ट और बैंगलोर वॉटर सप्लाई केस के कुछ नियमों में और सुधार की ज़रूरत है।
