This development aims to leverage Veli's potential in transport and tourism, making it a significant hub in Kerala and a key destination on the tourism circuit. A new eco-friendly solar-powered boat service has been launched from Veli Tourism Village, offering scenic backwater journeys. The minister emphasized the importance of utilizing existing waterways and ensuring the welfare of local fishermen during development.
