Displaced persons protesting for jobs have ended their 12-day hunger strike against Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). The decision came after extensive discussions involving the deputy commissioner, BSL's executive director of HR, and the local MLA. A key proposal discussed was the potential inclusion of BSL-trained apprentices in recruitment for Class IV posts. The meeting also addressed employment for the brother of an individual who died during a previous agitation. BSL will review the proceedings and submit its findings within seven days.
