Yadadri Thermal Power Station's 5th Unit Nears Commercial Operation

Work on the fifth unit of the 5x800 MW Yadadri Thermal Power Station (YTPS) is progressing rapidly towards its commercial operation date next month. The unit was successfully synchronised with the grid on October 20, achieving a peak load of 158.7 MW during its initial coal-firing trial. With four units already operational, the commissioning of the fifth unit will bring YTPS to its full installed capacity of 4,000 MW. Genco is ensuring sufficient coal supply from various sources to meet demand.

5x800 MW यादद्री थर्मल पावर स्टेशन (YTPS) की पांचवीं यूनिट पर काम तेजी से चल रहा है और अगले महीने इसके व्यावसायिक संचालन की तारीख नजदीक आ रही है। 20 अक्टूबर को यूनिट को सफलतापूर्वक ग्रिड से जोड़ा गया था और शुरुआती कोयला जलाने के परीक्षण के दौरान इसने 158.7 MW का शिखर लोड हासिल किया। चार यूनिटें पहले से ही चालू हैं, पांचवीं यूनिट के चालू होने से YTPS अपनी 4,000 MW की पूरी स्थापित क्षमता तक पहुंच जाएगा। Genco विभिन्न स्रोतों से मांग को पूरा करने के लिए पर्याप्त कोयला आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित कर रहा है।
