ड्रग्स की तस्करी करने वाले नेटवर्क के खिलाफ सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने 'ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट' शुरू किया है। असम, मिजोरम और मणिपुर में 38 जगहों पर एक साथ छापे मारे गए। इस ऑपरेशन में 18 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है और करीब 100 करोड़ रुपये के हवाला कारोबार का खुलासा हुआ है। अधिकारियों ने 1,424 बैंक खातों को फ्रीज कर दिया है और 17.82 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति जब्त की है। साथ ही 12 लाख रुपये नकद और 500 डेटोनेटर भी जब्त किए गए हैं। इस मिली-जुली कार्रवाई का मकसद ड्रग्स के अवैध धंधे को चलाने वाले पैसों के सिस्टम को खत्म करना है, जो कथित तौर पर भारत को म्यांमार और बांग्लादेश से जोड़ने वाले रास्तों का इस्तेमाल करता है।
