The Los Angeles Rams have released kicker Harrison Mevis following their 37-34 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills. Mevis missed crucial field goal attempts, including a 48-yard kick in overtime that was blocked, directly contributing to the team's defeat. Head coach Sean McVay stated the kicking performance was "not even close to good enough" and "cost us the game." Mevis had struggled this season, converting only five of nine field goal attempts. Blake Grupe has been signed from the New York Jets' practice squad to address the team's kicking issues.
