The Karnataka High Court has directed Dharwad district authorities to protect the life and property of residents in Hubballi's Mayuri Estate. This comes after residents filed a petition stating that protests and dharnas were being held within their locality, infringing on their rights. The court issued these directions while disposing of a writ petition filed by Sangamnath Hanji and other residents.

कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट ने धारवाड़ जिला अधिकारियों को हुबली के मयूरी एस्टेट में निवासियों के जीवन और संपत्ति की रक्षा करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह तब हुआ जब निवासियों ने एक याचिका दायर कर कहा कि उनके इलाके में विरोध प्रदर्शन और धरने किए जा रहे हैं, जिससे उनके अधिकारों का हनन हो रहा है। अदालत ने यह निर्देश संगमनथ हंजी और अन्य निवासियों द्वारा दायर एक रिट याचिका का निपटारा करते हुए दिया।
