Iran's nuclear program has re-emerged as a significant obstacle in ongoing US-Iran ceasefire negotiations, nearly eight months after the conflict began. Tehran insists uranium enrichment is a right under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, while the US calls for zero enrichment. Iran's security chief stated that not even a particle of enriched uranium would leave the country, calling it a national asset. Negotiations are stalled until the US meets Iran's conditions, including lifting sanctions and releasing frozen assets.
