Yashasvi Jaiswal confronted Sri Lankan pacer Asitha Fernando during the second Test after Fernando allegedly abused him non-stop. Teammate Dhruv Jurel revealed that Jaiswal told Fernando, "You can't abuse me," despite taking his wicket. Both players were docked 25% of their match fees by the ICC for inappropriate physical contact. Jurel stated Jaiswal never initiates sledging but will retaliate if provoked. The incident occurred in the 17th over of India's first innings.
