Indian-Americans are actively seeking greater political influence in the US by not only running for office but also supporting candidates sympathetic to Hindu concerns in the upcoming November midterm elections. While six Indian-origin members were in the outgoing House, this number may decrease. Several Indian-American candidates are contesting for House seats and other local offices.
