Green Party Member Behind 'Zionism is Racism' Motion Receives Death Threats

Lubna Speitan, a British-Palestinian activist and Green Party member, has reported receiving death and rape threats after her party passed a motion labelling Zionism as racism. The motion, which passed by 1,022 votes to 813 at the Green Party of England and Wales conference, has drawn widespread criticism from other political parties. Speitan views the threats as intimidation from pro-Israel groups and has reported them to the police. She stated that the motion targets an ideology and not all Jewish people.
