This closure is due to a protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar. Traders have decided to shut shops or advised establishments to close as a precautionary measure. The New Delhi Traders Association advised businesses in Connaught Place to remain closed to prevent potential damage to property and injuries amid the expected disruptions.
