Asian Games 2026 Open in Nagoya Ceremony

The 20th Asian Games officially commenced in Nagoya, Japan, with a spectacular opening ceremony at the Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium. Emperor Naruhito declared the Games open, attended by dignitaries including OCA president Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani. Athletes from 45 nations and the OCA Refugee Team paraded, with China fielding a large contingent. The Games will feature 469 gold medals across 43 events, running from September 19 to October 4.
