NIA Arrests Second Accused in Manipur Tronglaobi IED Blast Case

The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has arrested a 48-year-old man, Thangmang Haokip, in connection with the Tronglaobi IED blast. The attack on April 7 killed two minors and injured their mother. Haokip is the second person arrested in the case, following the apprehension of S. Palal Thadou on August 12, 2026. The NIA re-registered the case after an explosive device was launched at a residential house. Further investigation is ongoing to identify more individuals involved in the conspiracy.

राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (NIA) ने ट्रोंगलाओबी IED ब्लास्ट के संबंध में 48 वर्षीय थंगमंग हाओकिप को गिरफ्तार किया है। 7 अप्रैल को हुए इस हमले में दो नाबालिगों की मौत हो गई थी और उनकी माँ घायल हो गई थी। हाओकिप इस मामले में गिरफ्तार होने वाला दूसरा व्यक्ति है, इससे पहले 12 अगस्त 2026 को एस. पालाल थडौ को पकड़ा गया था। एक विस्फोटक उपकरण एक आवासीय घर पर फेंके जाने के बाद NIA ने मामला फिर से दर्ज किया था। साजिश में शामिल अन्य लोगों की पहचान के लिए आगे की जांच जारी है।
