Kerala Electricity Employees Forum Questions CM on Power Purchase Deal

The Left-backed Electricity Employees Federation of India (EEFI) has challenged Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan to publish files concerning a power purchase deal with GNA Energy OTC. EEFI leaders questioned the Chief Minister's claims that the former KSEB chairman did not object to the deal and that it would avert a ₹2,200 crore liability. They also asked for clarification on why the Chief Minister is defending the GNA offer over Himachal Pradesh's, especially when the KSEB opposes it and regulatory approval is lacking.

लेफ्ट समर्थित इलेक्ट्रिसिटी एम्प्लॉइज फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (EEFI) ने केरल के मुख्यमंत्री वी.डी. सतीसन को GNA एनर्जी OTC के साथ पावर परचेज डील से जुड़ी फाइलें प्रकाशित करने की चुनौती दी है। EEFI नेताओं ने मुख्यमंत्री के इस दावे पर सवाल उठाए कि पूर्व KSEB चेयरमैन ने डील पर आपत्ति नहीं जताई थी और इससे ₹2,200 करोड़ की देनदारी से बचा जा सकता है। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्टीकरण मांगा कि मुख्यमंत्री हिमाचल प्रदेश के प्रस्ताव के बजाय GNA के प्रस्ताव का बचाव क्यों कर रहे हैं, खासकर जब KSEB इसका विरोध कर रहा है और नियामक मंजूरी का अभाव है।
