Delhi High Court Seeks Response On 'Analog Paneer' PIL

The petition seeks effective implementation of food safety standards against dairy and non-dairy products being sold as 'paneer' in the capital. A lawyer argued that customers ordering paneer expect a dairy product, not an analog, and currently have no way to verify its composition. The court has sought responses from the central government, FSSAI, and the Delhi government.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने 'एनालॉग पनीर' के खिलाफ जनहित याचिका पर केंद्र सरकार और FSSAI को नोटिस जारी किया है। याचिका में राजधानी में 'पनीर' के नाम पर बिक रहे डेयरी और नॉन-डेयरी उत्पादों के खिलाफ खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों को प्रभावी ढंग से लागू करने की मांग की गई है। एक वकील ने दलील दी कि पनीर ऑर्डर करने वाले ग्राहक डेयरी उत्पाद की उम्मीद करते हैं, एनालॉग की नहीं, और वर्तमान में इसकी संरचना को सत्यापित करने का कोई तरीका नहीं है। कोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार, FSSAI और दिल्ली सरकार से जवाब मांगा है।
