Micron to scale up India chip assembly multifold

Micron plans to significantly increase its semiconductor assembly and testing operations in India next year, according to CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. The company has already begun commercial production at its Sanand, Gujarat facility, marking the first such unit in India under the India semiconductor mission. Micron's Indian centers in Bangalore and Hyderabad contribute to global technology development, with Indian teams involved in over 3,700 patents.
