Russian President Vladimir Putin warned European leaders that escalating the conflict would result in no winners, despite expressing a desire to restore ties. He stated that Norway and Finland's leaders clarified they do not represent the European Union. Putin also indicated Russia's readiness for war but preference against it, cautioning against a Baltic Sea situation similar to the Strait of Hormuz.
