Pune BLOs Skip Home Visits, Senior Citizens Face Hardship During Voter Roll Revision

Booth-level officers (BLOs) in Pune are reportedly asking citizens to visit election offices to submit documents for electoral roll revision, contrary to the ECI promise of home visits. This is causing significant inconvenience, especially for senior citizens who are expected to travel to submit documents. The special intensive revision aims to simplify the process and spare voters such difficulties. Despite the ECI's revised procedure for home collection of documents, many voters are finding the process tedious and are opting out.
