A Division Bench overturned a single judge's order that had granted promotion to a Deputy Inspector General of Registration. His name was included in the promotion panel before corruption charges were filed against him. मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया है कि भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों का सामना कर रहे सरकारी अधिकारी प्रमोशन के हकदार नहीं होंगे। एक डिवीज़न बेंच ने सिंगल जज के उस आदेश को पलट दिया, जिसमें एक डेप्युटी इंस्पेक्टर जनरल ऑफ रजिस्ट्रेशन को प्रमोशन दिया गया था। उनका नाम प्रमोशन पैनल में तब शामिल किया गया था जब उन पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप नहीं लगे थे। इस फैसले से साफ है कि सरकारी नौकरी में तरक्की के लिए ईमानदारी सबसे ज़रूरी है।
