The draft 'Delhi E-Rickshaw (Registration and Operation) Scheme, 2026' also includes rules for registration, operation, and driver qualifications. The government is seeking public suggestions on this draft within 30 days before finalizing the policy.

दिल्ली सरकार ने अपनी सड़कों पर ई-रिक्शा की संख्या को अधिकतम 2.5 लाख तक सीमित करने की एक नई योजना का प्रस्ताव दिया है। इस कदम का उद्देश्य राजधानी में यातायात जाम, सड़क दुर्घटनाओं, वायु प्रदूषण और ध्वनि स्तर को कम करना है। 'दिल्ली ई-रिक्शा (पंजीकरण और संचालन) योजना, 2026' के मसौदे में पंजीकरण, संचालन और चालक योग्यता के लिए नियम भी शामिल हैं। सरकार नीति को अंतिम रूप देने से पहले 30 दिनों के भीतर इस मसौदे पर जनता से सुझाव मांग रही है।
