Pooja Vaigankar has become the first woman driver to join the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) in Goa, marking a significant milestone since the corporation's inception in 1980. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant personally welcomed her, highlighting women's strength and capability in taking on roles traditionally held by men. Vaigankar, previously a truck driver, was appointed to the Panaji to Valpoi route. Her induction contributes to KTC's growing gender diversity, which already includes numerous women conductors and traffic controllers.
