Bihar MLC Polls: NDA, INDIA Bloc Face Internal Strife Ahead of Elections
Hindustan Times · politics
Bihar is gearing up for elections to eight Legislative Council seats on October 23, revealing significant infighting within both the ruling NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc. The INDIA bloc faces considerable overlap, with allies Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress fielding candidates against each other in multiple constituencies due to a lack of seat-sharing agreements. Similarly, the NDA is experiencing internal friction, notably in the Saran Teachers’ constituency where JD(U) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) have fielded competing candidates.
