Former AIADMK MLA Booked Under SC/ST Act For Insulting Petrol Bunk Staff

A case has been registered against former Pappireddipatti AIADMK MLA A Govindasamy and over 30 accomplices under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The group allegedly arrived at a petrol bunk near Dharmapuri on October 26, obstructing vehicles and verbally abusing employees with casteist slurs. One coworker was reportedly assaulted for questioning their behaviour. The complaint was filed by an employee, R Arunkumar, who sought action against the former MLA and his associates.
