Adani Group Firms Settle Sebi Case For ₹1.48

Four Adani group companies, chairman Gautam Adani, and 13 others have settled proceedings with Sebi by paying a cumulative ₹1.48 crore. The settlement pertains to alleged non-compliance with minimum public shareholding requirements for listed companies. Sebi initiated investigations in October 2020 following complaints. This is the third settlement order involving the Adani group this month, following earlier settlements regarding related-party transactions and PMC Projects. The regulator has now disposed of these proceedings against the companies and individuals involved.

चार अडानी ग्रुप कंपनियों, चेयरमैन गौतम अडानी और 13 अन्य लोगों ने कुल ₹1.48 करोड़ का भुगतान करके Sebi के साथ कार्यवाही का निपटारा कर लिया है। यह निपटारा लिस्टेड कंपनियों के लिए न्यूनतम सार्वजनिक शेयरधारिता की आवश्यकताओं के कथित अनुपालन न करने से संबंधित है। Sebi ने शिकायतों के बाद अक्टूबर 2020 में जांच शुरू की थी। इस महीने अडानी ग्रुप से जुड़ा यह तीसरा निपटान आदेश है, इससे पहले संबंधित-पक्ष लेनदेन और PMC Projects के संबंध में निपटान हो चुके हैं। नियामक ने अब कंपनियों और इसमें शामिल व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ इन कार्यवाहियों को निपटा दिया है।
