IAF Chief AP Singh to Fly Tejas Fighter Jet On His Final Sortie

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh will fly the Tejas light combat aircraft from Jodhpur airbase on Sunday, marking his final flight before retirement on October 31. This sortie also highlights the Tejas Mk-1A variant, which is nearing induction after delays. The Air Force currently operates 30 LCA Mk-1 fighters. Singh's flight occurs during the multilateral exercise Tarang Shakti, which features 150 Indian and foreign aircraft, including US F-35s. Singh publicly noted that the IAF was denied close access to the F-35s during the exercise.
