Rs952 Crore Water Project To Submerge Nearly 1,200 Hectares Of Land

A proposed Rs952.32-crore Kolar-Kanhan barrage near Bina village in Kamptee taluka is planned to enhance Nagpur's water security. The project requires over 1,200 hectares of land, including government, private, and forest land. The total area under submergence, including the dam seat, is estimated at 1,198.42 hectares. The proposal has been submitted for approval, but land acquisition and forest clearance processes are not yet complete. The project aims to provide a long-term water buffer for the city.

952 करोड़ की जल परियोजना से लगभग 1,200 हेक्टेयर जमीन डूबेगी

नागपुर की जल सुरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए कंपटी तालुका के बीना गांव के पास 952.32 करोड़ रुपये की कोलर-कान्हन बैराज बनाने की योजना है। इस परियोजना के लिए सरकारी, निजी और वन भूमि सहित 1,200 हेक्टेयर से अधिक जमीन की आवश्यकता होगी। बांध स्थल सहित जलमग्न होने वाले कुल क्षेत्र का अनुमान 1,198.42 हेक्टेयर लगाया गया है। प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी के लिए जमा कर दिया गया है, लेकिन भूमि अधिग्रहण और वन मंजूरी की प्रक्रिया अभी पूरी नहीं हुई है। इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य शहर के लिए एक दीर्घकालिक जल बफर प्रदान करना है।
