North India Leads India's Expanding Stock Market Investor

North India has emerged as the leader in India's growing stock market investor base, surpassing the West. This expansion, particularly after the pandemic, has seen the region's investor numbers grow sixfold since FY19. Uttar Pradesh has now become the second-largest investor state, overtaking Gujarat. While Maharashtra remains the largest state, its share has decreased, indicating a significant geographical shift in investment participation across the country.
