BJP Slams Congress Over JNU Professor's Dismissal Amid Harassment Claims

The BJP has attacked the Congress party following the dismissal of its Inner Manipur MP, Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) due to sexual harassment allegations. BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj accused Congress of remaining silent and siding with those who exploit women. An internal JNU inquiry found the complaints by 11 female students to be truthful and substantiated, leading to Akoijam's dismissal on October 9.

बीजेपी ने कांग्रेस पार्टी पर जवाहरलाल नेहरू यूनिवर्सिटी (जेएनयू) के अपने आंतरिक मणिपुर सांसद, अंगोमचा बिमोल अकोइजम को यौन उत्पीड़न के आरोपों के कारण बर्खास्त किए जाने के बाद हमला बोला है। बीजेपी सांसद बंसुरी स्वराज ने कांग्रेस पर चुप रहने और महिलाओं का शोषण करने वालों का साथ देने का आरोप लगाया। जेएनयू की एक आंतरिक जांच में 11 महिला छात्रों द्वारा की गई शिकायतें सच और पुष्ट पाई गईं, जिसके बाद 9 अक्टूबर को अकोइजम को बर्खास्त कर दिया गया।
