India Exports 500 Tonnes Hilsa To Bangladesh

India has exported approximately 500 tonnes of hilsa fish to Bangladesh over the past two months, a significant reversal of the usual trade flow. Fish traders report that an additional 150-200 tonnes are expected in the coming weeks. This export is driven by lower hilsa production in Bangladesh this year, leading its traders to seek supplies from India to meet domestic demand for the popular fish. Consignments have primarily originated from Gujarat and West Bengal.

पिछले दो महीनों में भारत ने बांग्लादेश को करीब 500 टन हिलसा मछली भेजी है। यह सामान्य व्यापार के उलट है। बांग्लादेश में इस साल हिलसा का उत्पादन कम होने से वहां के व्यापारी भारत से माल मंगा रहे हैं। अगले कुछ हफ्तों में 150-200 टन और आने की उम्मीद है। यह मछली गुजरात और पश्चिम बंगाल से भेजी जा रही है।
