US Plans $2.8 Billion Bomb Sale to Israel

The US administration is preparing to sell Israel approximately $2.8 billion worth of 2,000-pound aerial bombs. The Washington Post reported this planned sale includes 40,000 bombs, such as MK-84s and BLU-117s, along with I-2000 Penetrator warheads. This deal is reportedly the largest single sale of this munition in recent years. The sale is being facilitated through the Foreign Military Financing mechanism.
