Farmer leader Shashikant Padasalagi Guru stated that organizations will not withdraw their protest until a clear message is received, dismissing hollow promises. He accused the minister of lying about farmers not submitting demands in advance, noting that a memorandum to revise the sugar MSP, which has remained at ₹31 for nine years, was submitted eight months ago.

बेलगावी के किसानों ने केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रहलाद जोशी से चीनी के न्यूनतम विक्रय मूल्य (MSP) में संशोधन का ठोस आश्वासन मिलने तक अपना विरोध जारी रखने की कसम खाई है। किसान नेता शशिकांत पदासलगी गुरु ने कहा कि जब तक स्पष्ट संदेश नहीं मिलता, संगठन अपना विरोध वापस नहीं लेंगे, उन्होंने खोखले वादों को खारिज कर दिया। उन्होंने मंत्री पर किसानों द्वारा पहले मांगें नहीं रखने के बारे में झूठ बोलने का आरोप लगाया, यह बताते हुए कि चीनी एमएसपी को संशोधित करने के लिए एक ज्ञापन, जो नौ साल से ₹31 पर अटका हुआ है, आठ महीने पहले जमा किया गया था।
