Nashik Mayor Himgauri Aher has ordered a detailed report within 10 days concerning alleged financial irregularities in the Municipal Corporation's garden department. Corporators raised concerns during a general body meeting about inflated prices for children's play equipment and benches. One allegation claims a Rs 38 lakh package was procured for Rs 81 lakh, a loss of Rs 43 lakh. The Mayor has directed the garden superintendent to clarify pricing, tender processes, and purchase circumstances. The probe also extends to other departmental expenditures like tree plantation and maintenance contracts.

नाशिक की मेयर हिमगौरी आहेर ने म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन के उद्यान विभाग में कथित वित्तीय अनियमितताओं को लेकर 10 दिनों के भीतर विस्तृत रिपोर्ट का आदेश दिया है। पार्षदों ने सामान्य निकाय की बैठक के दौरान बच्चों के खेलने के उपकरण और बेंचों के लिए बढ़ी हुई कीमतों के बारे में चिंता जताई थी। एक आरोप के अनुसार, 38 लाख रुपये के पैकेज को 81 लाख रुपये में खरीदा गया, जिससे 43 लाख रुपये का नुकसान हुआ। मेयर ने उद्यान अधीक्षक को मूल्य निर्धारण, निविदा प्रक्रियाओं और खरीद की परिस्थितियों को स्पष्ट करने का निर्देश दिया है। जांच अन्य विभागीय खर्चों जैसे वृक्षारोपण और रखरखाव अनुबंधों तक भी फैली हुई है।
