Jiwanjot Singh Teja has made a significant return to coaching Indian compound archery after a challenging period. Following his disappointment at not receiving the Dronacharya Award in 2018, he left India and worked as a truck driver in Canada and the USA for nearly a year. Despite the arduous work, he remained connected to his past, with people occasionally recognizing him. Now, Jiwanjot is back in Nagoya, Japan, coaching India's women's compound archery team, contributing to their success at the Games.
