Uttar Pradesh's Chief Electoral Officer has admitted to errors in the voter list for the Legislative Council elections, following social media viral posts highlighting discrepancies. Some entries included bizarre names like 'Ram ne Sharma ko mara' (Ram killed Sharma) as voter or father's names. The Election Commission acknowledged these mistakes were made by them, not the software, and humorously noted that fortunately, no minority voters were harmed, thus avoiding accusations of communal bias.
