नए नियुक्त भुवनेश्वर डीसीपी Saravana Vivek M ने ज़ोर देकर कहा कि कानून और व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए नागरिकों का सहयोग बहुत ज़रूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि नागरिक पुलिस की आँखें और कान हैं, और उनकी भागीदारी के बिना यह संभव नहीं है। डीसीपी का इरादा सामुदायिक जुड़ाव के ज़रिए जनता का भरोसा बढ़ाना है, ताकि लोग आराम से पुलिस स्टेशनों में आ सकें। उन्होंने पुलिस बल के भीतर टीम वर्क, अनुशासन और पेशेवर रवैये पर भी ज़ोर दिया, और दुर्व्यवहार से सख्ती से निपटने का वादा किया। जनता की संतुष्टि और भरोसा सफलता के मुख्य मापदंड होंगे, साथ ही टेक्नोलॉजी के साथ बदलते अपराध के तरीकों के अनुसार ढलना भी ज़रूरी होगा।
