US Bans Chinese AI DeepSeek From Civilian Government IT Systems

The US Homeland Security Department has ordered the removal of Chinese AI model DeepSeek and related third-party services from civilian government IT systems. The department is also prohibiting future acquisitions of DeepSeek products by US civilian government agencies. DHS cited concerns that DeepSeek models pose multiple threat vectors and could lead to the transfer of sensitive data to China or produce actionable intelligence on US persons and agencies. Previous bans on DeepSeek have been implemented by several US agencies and multiple states.

अमेरिका के होमलैंड सिक्योरिटी डिपार्टमेंट ने चीनी AI मॉडल DeepSeek और उससे जुड़ी थर्ड-पार्टी सेवाओं को नागरिक सरकारी IT सिस्टम से हटाने का आदेश दिया है। डिपार्टमेंट अमेरिकी नागरिक सरकारी एजेंसियों द्वारा DeepSeek उत्पादों की भविष्य में खरीद पर भी रोक लगा रहा है। DHS ने चिंता जताई है कि DeepSeek मॉडल कई तरह के खतरे पैदा कर सकते हैं और संवेदनशील डेटा को चीन भेजने या अमेरिकी व्यक्तियों और एजेंसियों पर कार्रवाई योग्य खुफिया जानकारी उत्पन्न करने का कारण बन सकते हैं। DeepSeek पर पहले भी कई अमेरिकी एजेंसियों और कई राज्यों द्वारा प्रतिबंध लगाए जा चुके हैं।
