CoRWA Summit to Address NH 66 Bypass Woes and Kochi Metro Extension Delays
The Hindu · india
The 13th conference of the Confederation of Residents Welfare Associations (CoRWA) will convene on November 14-15 to discuss critical infrastructure issues. Key concerns include the poor condition of the Edappally-Aroor NH 66 bypass and significant delays in the Kochi metro's Kakkanad extension. Residents fear the 17-km bypass, currently handling over a lakh vehicles daily, will become a severe bottleneck once NHAI completes the six-laning of NH 66 by 2028. The Vyttila railway overbridge's inadequate capacity further exacerbates traffic congestion, prompting CoRWA to take up these matters with the NHAI.
