The draft framework also proposes renewable fuel incentives for flex-fuel vehicles. भारत में नए फ्यूल एफिशिएंसी नियमों से कार बनाने वाली कंपनियों को फायदा हो सकता है। जो कंपनियां स्टार्ट-स्टॉप सिस्टम जैसी फ्यूल बचाने वाली टेक्नोलॉजी अपनाएंगी, उन्हें CO2 उत्सर्जन कम करने के लिए क्रेडिट मिलेंगे। इससे ये टेक्नोलॉजी आम गाड़ियों में ज्यादा इस्तेमाल होंगी। ड्राफ्ट में फ्लेक्स-फ्यूल गाड़ियों के लिए रिन्यूएबल फ्यूल पर भी छूट का प्रस्ताव है। इसका मकसद गाड़ियों से होने वाला प्रदूषण कम करना और देश में टिकाऊ ट्रांसपोर्ट को बढ़ावा देना है।
