Outsourced Employees Protest in Dehradun Seeking Equal Pay and Job Security

Outsourced and contractual employees in Dehradun intensified their protest, demanding equal pay for equal work, regularisation, and job security. The Joint Morcha Outsourcing Employees Union submitted a memorandum to the chief secretary, seeking implementation of the Supreme Court's 2016 ruling on equal pay and better service benefits. Employees highlighted that they perform the same duties as regular staff but receive different pay and benefits. They have been assured of a meeting with the chief minister, threatening to continue protests if it doesn't occur.
