A parking pallet at the Kannur multi-level car parking facility near Jawahar Municipal Stadium slipped during routine maintenance, sparking safety concerns. The incident, which occurred days earlier but gained attention recently, led to the temporary shutdown of one parking unit. While a technician stated the pallet slipped while being lifted by a jack and that the matter was exaggerated, efforts to move a car parked in the unit to restore the two-tonne pallet were unsuccessful. The facility operates with four independent units, allowing others to function during such issues.
