AFI to Move CAS Over Shaili Singh's Jump

The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after long jumper Shaili Singh's mark was allegedly mismeasured at the Asian Games. Shaili finished fourth with 6.42m, but her mentor Anju Bobby George claims a faulty measurement of her fourth attempt, officially recorded as 6.41m, cost her a medal. George stated an official far from the landing pit took the measurement instead of the closer official. The AFI plans to challenge the decision at the CAS in Lausanne.
