IHC, the investment company of Abu Dhabi's deputy ruler, is in early-stage talks to acquire a stake in Bandhan Financial Services (BFSL), the promoter of Bandhan Bank. This move aims to provide an exit opportunity for early-stage financial investors like GIC of Singapore and the International Finance Corporation. Together, these investors hold a significant portion of BFSL, valued between $500-600 million. Bandhan Financial Holdings currently owns 37.5% of the bank and must reduce this to 26% by 2030 as per RBI regulations.
