Bombay HC Grants Anticipatory Bail to Ex-Corporator in 2018 Murder Case

The Bombay High Court has granted anticipatory bail to former corporator Subhash alias Laxman Jagtap, an accused in a 2018 murder case. The court observed that the acquittal of his co-accused on merits and the evidence recorded during their trial were relevant developments. The case involved the death of Vicky Vishnu Gaikwad following an alleged assault in Solapur district. Jagtap was accused of carrying a sword and instigating others during the incident. The court directed him to furnish a personal recognisance bond of ₹50,000 and sureties upon arrest.

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने 2018 के हत्या मामले के आरोपी पूर्व कॉर्पोरेटर सुभाष उर्फ लक्ष्मण जगताप को अग्रिम जमानत दे दी है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि सह-आरोपियों का मामले के गुणों के आधार पर बरी होना और उनके मुकदमे के दौरान दर्ज सबूत प्रासंगिक विकास थे। इस मामले में सोलापुर जिले में कथित हमले के बाद विक्की विष्णु गायकवाड़ की मौत शामिल थी। जगताप पर घटना के दौरान तलवार ले जाने और दूसरों को उकसाने का आरोप था। कोर्ट ने उसे गिरफ्तारी पर ₹50,000 का व्यक्तिगत मुचलका और जमानतदार पेश करने का निर्देश दिया।
