CPI(M) Condemns Police Action Against Employees

The Andhra Pradesh unit of the CPI(M) has condemned police action against Village and Ward Secretariat employees who gathered in Vijayawada to press their demands. Party secretary V. Srinivasa Rao alleged employees were assaulted and arrested instead of being allowed to protest peacefully. The CPI(M) urged the State government to hold talks with employee representatives and resolve their grievances. They also called for the withdrawal of suspensions and dropping of any proposed cases against participants.
