Supreme Court Transfers Azam Khan's Plea To High Court; Hearing

The Supreme Court has transferred Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan's plea to the Allahabad High Court, requesting the latter to hear the case. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal argued on Khan's behalf, citing his age, the number of cases against him, and the delayed FIR. Sibal questioned how a 2006 incident led to a 2019 FIR and the inclusion of PMLA charges. The apex court, however, declined to give a final opinion on the merits of the case at this stage.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता आजम खान की याचिका इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट को भेज दी है। कोर्ट ने हाई कोर्ट से इस मामले की सुनवाई करने को कहा है। आजम खान की ओर से वरिष्ठ वकील कपिल सिब्बल ने दलीलें दीं। उन्होंने आजम खान की उम्र, उनके खिलाफ मामलों की संख्या और FIR में देरी का जिक्र किया। सिब्बल ने सवाल उठाया कि 2006 की घटना के लिए 2019 में FIR कैसे दर्ज हुई और PMLA के आरोप कैसे लगाए गए। हालांकि, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इस स्तर पर मामले के गुणों पर कोई अंतिम राय देने से इनकार कर दिया।
